9701C4A0-4881-4BD8-8DE8-D636BBF5499F.png Due to recently finding small specs of black spray paint on my freshly painted 69 super bee parts due to kids painting their plastic models I am looking for the highest quality indoor/outdoor car cover I can get. I found this one and wanted to see if anybody had a better suggestion or something they’ve really had success with.

Kids are just that, but them understanding that the car and parts are not accessible unless you are around is what they need to understand. In my day I would have gotten the belt, probably for every spec that was found.

Got mine form Classic industries. Have had it since painting the shell of the car. Good investment.

Either CoverCraft or Calif. Car Cover have what’s called a ‘Dustop’ indoor cover. Best bang for the $$ IMO. I use these on a couple cars and have sprayed paint in the area, never any overspray. Throw a plastic cover over the cover temporarily if doing anything heavy duty.

What's the warranty on that? I would've gone with California car cover since they have a warranty on their covers, anywhere from four to five years if they come apart during normal use...

Their more expensive covers, ie the ones that aren't on sale, have mirror pockets...

Well, Mine just showed up. So I backed the car out and put it on to ck fit.
And I'll be brutally honest . I was a little disappointed.

its not a custom cover by any stretch of the means. Has quite a bit of material in front of and behind the roof line.
Cover is not as thick as I expected. I was expecting and wanting something thicker and more density to it to protect the car in case something gets sat on it. And Im not sure I like it. I need to think about it for a few days before i decide if I will keep it or return it

Is it better than the cheap Budge cover I already have, ? Yes, But just barely

Thanks for the review. I'm looking at the Ca car cover and they are expensive.

Yep, Thats why I couldnt pull that trigger. When I told the CFO how much I wanted to spend $450 to $500 on a cover, I got the death stare and decided to ck other options.

I tend to drive the car a lot . Odds are the cover will only be on it occasionally, with maybe a 2 or 3 month stretch in the summer months around here

For indoor only all you need is to protect against dust and bumps, thus the thick fleece padding.

                      What's your paint job worth?

You get what you pay for. Anything under $200 will be cheap.

I got one also and it feels slightly, and I mean slightly thicker than the Walmart cheap one. I was expecting one with a very soft interior lining and a bit thicker. This one feels like a starched Flannel bed sheet.

Give the Canvas Shoppe in Flint, MI 810-733-1841 a call. They build custom car covers. I purchased one of their covers for my 57 Ford Retractable back in the early 1990's. Its made of Durafin Flannel. Nice heavy duty indoor cover, fits like a glove and has stood the test of time. Sorry, can't remember the price, but I'm sure they've gone up since I purchased. The brochure I still have lists G-123 as their cover for a 66-69 Charger/Coronet. If they build them the same as they did in the 90s you won't be dissappointed.
