Well, got the old 727 out... not sure what the failure was. Appears that it might have been the front pump & seal, since it dumped alot of fluid on the ground before I shut it off.
Used a Jegs 79010 transmission jack for my lift, worked fairly well... but I needed to use my engine hoist to...
I forgot PST had a separate sponsor's forum here and my post up in the Suspension & Chassis section wasn't getting much response. My 66 was sitting very uneven in the front and I ran out of adjustment on one side before I could get it up high enough. Crossmember and sockets are all like-new...
69 charger with a 383. I think my leaf springs are worn out and I've been looking for a new set. My intent is a nice handling car. I'm not an autocross racer but I do enjoy the twisty mountain roads here. So my frame of mind is to do nothing that isn't an improvement in handling. I have a 7/8...
Well I do but prior to this the oldest car I ever owned was a 83 Datsun 280zx turbo. As far as suspension goes. It's a base model road runner it's a 73 (disc front breaks already and drum in the back.) 318 with a 904 i don't really care about keeping it stock or numbers matching. I wanna build...
So I've started the process of installing new PST torsionbars on my 69 Bee, figured I do something enjoyable on this holiday before having to go deal with family.
I've read most of the posts and have the FSM, but for the life of me, I can't understand why the upper control arm bump stop is...
Just installed Doug's 452's in my 1969RR with 512. No issue with torsionbar on driver side (3/8 clear). Passenger side has no issues, but was a pain to install. Driver side was quick and easy. Angled Plugs fit good with my aftermarket heads.
Hello,
I'm attempting to install my torsionbars on my 69 coronet. A little background, I purchased the car halfway through a build in boxes. The previous owner did full floors/crossmember and installed most of the Hotchkis TVS kit. I dropped a 5.7 Hemi/Tr6060 in, added a USCT Level 2 stiffening...
hey mate, I just did the suspension on my Charger using all PST stuff - torsionbars, front sway bar etc. I used Bilstein shocks. I'm yet to install the adjustable UCAs. The difference is night and day. The car is so much better to drive It doesn't feel like a boat anymore and it's planted in...
that being said, do I understand the aftermarket are not marked Left Right? I nought a set of aftermarket, and now I will not install as they are not marked PST, and PST will not make right

...70 charger.
I already have disassembled the car... also the front axle.
So my question is , if it is necessary to have the torsionbarinstalled for a proper alignment of the crossmember ???
If yes i have to reinstall the front axle parts again..
would be a pain ....
The old...
I’d like to know more details about these failures/poor metal and when the manufacturing dates occurred. I took delivery on a full system this year and in process of install.
Drivetrain is doable, if your keeping the stock suspension the torsionbar crossmember will need to be reinforced if your going to install a bigger transmission...
Seats you'll find they are designed for a taller cabin... Or in other words bolted to the floor your head will be in the roof...
Finally, some progress!
Due to weather, work and some other reasons, my time in the garage has been a bit limited. However, I was finally able to get the transmission out of the car last night!
My problem stemmed from the fact that I could not remove my torsionbars - something I have done on...
Thanks for the thoughts. The uca bolts are in place but not tight. The lca has not been touched. I backed off the torsionbar adjusters 3 revolutions. The spindles are at the same height as they would be if the tires were on but I will install the rotors and mount the tires and take out the jack...

These are Hemi TTI’s for A body. They sure fit nice. Drivers side is a step process though: 1-starter in place and connected. 2- header bolted in place. 3- strg box installed from the front. 4- pitman arm installed onto strg box 5- steering linkage install. 6- torsionbarinstall.
My 68 Sport Satelite Convertible has the original small block torsionbars and leaf springs on it. I already have a PST front sway bar for it, I just need to install it. I am looking for new parts that someone bought and never used. I want either a set of Mopar 1.03 Torsionbars or Hotchkis 1.10...
I did it to a 69 Charger so not the same but you'll need to mod the torsionbar cross member as well.https://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/threads/viper-t56-install.85042/
Starts on page 4, not the same but should give you a feel for what it involves.

Torsions bars successfully installed, even though getting the poly dirt seals on were a royal f**king PIA. Pisses me off, no matter how careful you are, the bars still get scratched up going in through the back mount and then having to mostly hang out the back end while the fight ensues trying...
