I have some questions regarding Bendix’s boosters. My card originally came with front disc, brakes rear drum and manual master cylinder. I bought an aftermarket master cylinder and brake booster. I think it’s a 7 inch. I’ve been told that 8 inch boosters worked better. Mine I have to push pretty...
So I’m working on getting the kickdown linkage ratio to match my throttle linkage travel on a custom set up. Fun stuff!
So I’m looking for a specific nylon piece that I can tap a 5/16-18 and have the outer diameter match the inner diameter of my carburetor throttle bracket to use as a bushing...
I seem to have lost my original nozzles and when fitting my replacements, I don’t recall them being this far away from the grill above. It would complicate aiming, but maybe this is normal. It needs to get through the grill and actually hit the right spot on the windshield.
My questions are...
I found my wiper arms. They never had blades on them. They are Anco made in the USA. Were these the originals? Also what type/size of wipers do I need for these? They look like some type of press fit since there are no holes or barbs etc on the end.
So I am trying to figure out the correct color orientation of the red white and blue monikers on say the 1970 GTX and Sport Satellite. This would include the grill emblem and the ones on the interior of the doors.
I looked at a bunch of what I thought were original cars but found a mixed bunch...
Anybody got some tricks up their sleeves to help me figure out how to get access to the connectors at the back of my outside headlights without removing the front grill?
My front grill is really fragile and I don’t wanna take it off if I don’t absolutely have to. What I’m trying to do is...
While searching for headliner trim clips (never found them so posted in WTB section) I came across this spring in my pulled parts box. Looks like something from the hood latch? I have no idea. It’s 2-1/4” tall.
Can anyone identify?
Thanks,
Ron
Hey guys I need to replace my Pitman Arm washer. I measured 7/8. Can anyone tell me how to get one from either Oriley’s or Autozone locally? Can’t find one based on model yada. Descriptions don’t give size.
Just wondering if anyone recently purchased one of these.
Are these a simple lock...
So I seem to be missing my hardware bag that connects my front transmission rod to the steering column. The steering column flange hole is much larger than the pined rod. So there must be some bushing that I am missing.
Can anyone help me identify what parts I am missing to join the rid to the...
Looking to install my vent tubes. I see where the longer tube goes through the trunk as seen by the pic. I just don’t recall where the short tube comes through. Any pictures would help!
Thanks!
Hey guys I can’t seem to find the posts showing how you welded the adjuster onto the support. Can you guys point me to that info? Should I drill out the two adjuster holes and spot weld it into place? Any tips on this is appreciated.
Oh also the fsm does not show the details on how this is set...
So originally I thought a Belvedere was a room with a nice view. Then I thought it was a mediocre vodka. Then it was some bland Plymouth brand of cars. Then I realized I have one. So what the hell is a Belvedere anyway?
Reposting here for more traction.
My steering column appears to be about 1/2” too short. What are my options?
Pictures show that in the correct position to line up the column bolts and support screws it’s off (short) about 1/2 inch. Also the shifter is just about touching the dash. This is...
I noticed a perfect rectangle clean area on the outside of the two mounting studs of the accelerator pedal. This implies there was a backing plate there before the factory undercoating. I don’t recall taking it off but there was non factory carpet installed sometime ago. I looked at the FSM but...
I assume the accelerator plate was mounted under the carpet but want to confirm. Any pics on how it was done by the factory would be helpful.
Thanks

From the assembly manual I am trying to understand how these plastic breakaway supports offer any safety. Can someone please explain? I can’t visualize the break and subsequent benefit in the FSM drawing. I know I am missing something.
Is the column supposed to just drop in a collision?
My car never had the mast but had the original base as pictured. How does/did the mast get inserted in the holder? Is there threads deeper in there or is it just a press fit or am I missing another part?
Guys looking through my docs but I can’t find what this hole in the firewall is for. From my engine bay picture there is a bolt in there and also another just like 7 inches away laterally.
