My friend sold this original paint GY8 survivor car a few years ago. It's a good representation of what the color looked like from the factory. It looked pretty yellow gold in the sun.
68/69 fenders will physically bolt onto a 70 Charger, but the hood, bumper, grille, valance pan and bumper brackets are all different. The 68/69 headlight doors are operated by engine vacuum, but the 70 Charger headlight doors are operated by an electric motor. All the pieces to a 70 Charger nose...
If you are going to build the car, do the front clip first, get the car true and square, then do the floor pan and trunk floor pan and go from there. My 71 Challenger convertible was totaled in an accident before I bought the car. I replaced the whole front clip from the tortion bar cross member...
I already have several of them! It's not my fault the Charger market is insane. I recently saw one of my former 68 Charger rollers I sold for 5k sell for 17.5K.

Most on the forum encourage young people to get into the hobby. We would enjoy following your build,I am building a replica of the purple 70 Charger Daytona sunroof car myself. Don't let one member discourage you.
That is MCGs opinion, I believe that there were three 70 Daytona Charger cars built that were meant to be factory show cars, this was also the belief of the wingcar community until MCG did their articles and drew their own conclusions. I believe that the 70 Showcar Daytona Chargers were sold off...
