25 months isn't bad. Take a good look at them for pattern match, side to side. My first set came in, in 3yrs, and Didn't match. I had to send them back, and waited another 2yrs, for correction remake...
They're usually good on materials, vinyl, cloth, piping, and they also make the headliners to match in original material. My holdup was the wait for door panels, but I had them in time when I needed them...
Dave, I don't think it's the amount of orders, but the complexity of this era door panels. They differed so much between the models, and require unique tooling for each pattern, as they are far from the cookie cutter designs of the later year models. You also need to factor in the Labor...
No. What I am saying is "Let your Painter Choose the Primer, that He Knows Will work with the Finish being Applied". With the Current Inflated Prices, the Paint is an Investment itself. No Room for Errors...
Agree on that kk. With an All Iron MW under the hood, and No PS, it's a Bear backing into spots at cruises. I haven't seen any smaller wheels that look right in these, compared to the originals...
franker, That's a Great Car. It's in no way a Factory Car, but It's Definitely a Car Most of Us would Love to Own. The Mid-60's B-Bodies are Not High Dollar Cars, but more of a Personal Preference. Enjoy it as it is, and "Drive the Wheels" Off It !
Get it for as Low as possible. Depending on what your goal is with it, it Will be a Money Pit. A friend picked up a Complete Driver, and Very Nice, 440, 4Spd, in Florida, for $24K several years ago. I told him to put Me in His Will for it !!!
