Hi,
I've rewired the car front to back and just started it up. Changed Ballast resistor (read 2.4 ohms on ballast disconnected vs. the new one which correctly is 0.6 ohms).
Distributor is electronic OEM spec and I have a blue ignition module on the firewall and external voltage regulator box...
I have a 1968 satellite convertible. Roll up windows.
1. I need the vertical chrome molding that attaches to front edge of the rear/Quarter window. I only need one chrome trim piece for the passenger side.
2. I may need the front up stop or a few small quarter window roller/parts
3. I also...
Has anyone done this? If so, photos would help - I'm interested in re-purposing Ashtray/cigarette lighter to a stock-looking but hidden cover for a painless fuse box or cup holder. LMK, thx very much.
There are a lot of horn problems posted throughout the internet with these mopars. Would this simple circuit work, and if so, would I run 10 or 12 gauge wire to be safe and eliminate the relay altogether?
This is a 1 minute video on youtube that includes a simple circuit diagram with no relay...
Just like the post says. I prefer tail lights from a sport satellite or GTX without the black around the reverse lense, but I'll consider any. Thx, Mike
I love this website. After reading new posts today I thought it would be great to have a monthly tech/mystery challenge and see who could diagnose the problem and explain it. Maybe they could get a free gold membership for a year or a gift of some sort from the person posting the challenge. Just...
1968 Plymouth with a 440. Currently has a Federal power steering pump. I've had leaking on several Federal PS pumps, including rebuilt ones. Kind of tired of it. I need a recommendation on a quality power steering pump that will work for my car without a lot of chasing brackets, and looking for...
Don't see many photos of 1968 B bodies in Frost Blue Metallic (plymouth Dupont code 4890 I think). Dodge called it light blue metallic.
Anyone have a photo of a car in this color vs. other shades of blue?
is there a universal DIY kit of flex hose for under the dash ducts to defrost vents,
ac/heat vents. not sure if they are circular or rectangular flanges on the vents and if it matters. I'm not near my car to look.
found clear and blue heater hose on Amazon with 5/8 in internal diameter; rated at 70 psi and 350 degrees F.
Not sure if it is good enough for my 68 gtx with 440 in it. It says safe for water and AF.
I like the idea of clear hoses running antifreeze through them. Thoughts?
besides vintage air; classic auto air, have you used the AC/heater box and components out of a 2008-2016 JEEP, chrysler mini van; dodge neon; camaro; or other low mileage car that has been totalled?
Prices are very reasonable - just wondering about your thoughts.
My right front turn signal blinks slow and very very dim; I think it is a ground; cleaned the socket as best I could (50 years old and never cleaned before) - I'd like to add some ground wires to the circuit to insure that the grounding is rock solid. Could someone please post a picture of the...
Looking to buy a vintage air kit (971063) for '68 with factory air. Are there going to be any discounts at summit/Jeg's/vintage air/ classic industries that you know of?
I don't have a sandblasting booth; and occasionally blast and repaint a part before installing it. I've thought about drop cloths in a garbage can or large box, but looking for creative ideas.
I also want to blast the underside of the k member and give it a fresh coat of paint. Any ideas for...
My pulley is bent; if I can't straighten it I'll need a new pulley.
440 with A/C. Federal pump is freshly rebuilt; the style used from 1963 - 76 give or take.
My PS pump is stamped 2537955. My single V Pulley is 7" outside diameter, press in with no key lock.
Does anyone know if other brands...
Hi, I don't know the year of my transmission exactly, but I have a 1977 440 engine; A727B automatic transmission in my 1968 Plymouth Satellite (GTX clone).
The end threading into the transmission has a large metal hex nut on it, possibly about 5/8 or 7/8 " in size. Its not circular. The other...
Either my bolts holding the pans are coming loose or I need some new gaskets for my 68. Has a 1977 440 in it and a 727 automatic.
I was told by someone the other day to use metal core vs. cork. Anyone have a link to ones that are LEAST likely to leak? Hoping to have a dry garage floor, LOL.
I put a walnut Grant steering wheel on my 1968 satellite GTX clone convertible, but cannot get the horn button installed correctly, so I'm driving with no button or functioning horn.
Has anyone installed an aftermarket Grant wheel that has access to a photo of the horn button assembly and how...
