Anyone have tracings for a pistol grip shifter or have a shifter they could trace the stalk to allow some one to fabricate one in the same shape? A friend needs to make a customized for his build.
Thanks
Jim
After a disappointing search I have decided to try to make some of the more obscure Packard 58 connector housings for the earlier cars. This are the samples I have on order from Shapeways to see how they looks and print.
1) Early Ignition Switch housing (switch in the dash)
2) The classic "T"...
So the MK-474 is not available anymore for the common drum brake 2660809 MC. Ordered this Dorman Kit and look at the internal part number. Coincidence? Doubt it.
I did not make this decision lightly but it is time my 500 has a new home where she will be driven and enjoyed... I just have move on to my A-Bodies and now the A100 pickups and need the space... You can read all about this restoration here.. Original 318, 904, 2.93 sure grip, factory AC, PS...
I tried to use this on my Valiant restoration but it hit the Commando valve cover trim pieces and I find a correct original. Never used only mocked up on the car. It’s yours for $350 OBO plus shipping.
Hurry as I was at Barrett Jackson yesterday and saw a Superbird with one of these so it...
@gtx6970 and I got the daughters 66 Valiant running today so we had to go for a quick trip to make sure it was ready to put the glass in. The new 360 build ran flawlessly (which was built by @69Bee)…. after the snafu was discovered…. Ride height and alignment tomorrow. Thanks Bill and Dave!
Thanks to @gtx6970 for help today the torque built “360” Commando is in daughters ‘66 Valiant Signet (Sunshine) and mocking it up. This is quickly becoming my favorite car of the herd.
I’m looking for a water pump pulley for my 66 Valiant that I’m putting air conditioning on. It’s an early AC style with the large drive pulley that’s rubber damped. I noticed that my 68 Coronet 318 has the exact same pulley system as the 66. Does anybody have a water pump pulley that is 4 1/2”...
Anyone have the two cage nuts and special washer/machine screws to hold the console down in a 1966 Charger? Seems like in ‘66 the consoles used this unique method before going to a bracket were a sheet metal screw is just used.
have misplaced the wide spring clip that secures the vacuum hose block to the AC switch for the Valiant. They are all the same.. anyone have one they would part with?
There was somebody on one of these boards that rebuilt AC switches and understood all the different variations can anybody remind me who that was thanks
Anyone have an early SB timing cover (believe Poly will work). The one that does not have the timing indicator on the driver side. Looking for a nice one with minimal pitting in the aluminum. Thanks
Jim
Looking for the crank pulley for a small block AC car. They are a bit special as they have dampers built into them. There were 2 part numbers and I am not sure what the difference is as they are both 3 groove (diameter?)...
2536752 is the part number for AC and no PS
2402730 is the part...
Just got a call that my Valiant dash parts (less than 5 weeks turn around time as usual) were done and went ahead and asked about Frank as he suddenly was completely unresponsive to inquiries. Unfortunately Frank has been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor. It came on suddenly this summer...
Has anyone had contact with Frank in the last few months? I had a quote he gave me earlier this summer and I was about to send the parts but he has been silent on email and only an answering machine at the office? Anyone live in Romulus MI want it do a drive by and see if they are closed?
Does anyone have a factory Master Cylinder for late 60's B Body? Back when they were the 4 piston calipers. Here is what they look like. Very unique cover shape, like a pyramid.
