I needed to rebuild the steering stem coupler which was actually an easy task. During Column reassembly and installation I discovered a missing part ( see attached ).
That part was not there when I took the column apart but expect it should be. Anyone know of a source or happen to have one...
I can not pin down exactly what is causing the slop in my steering but strongly suspect it may be in the idler arm area. There is at least an inch gap between the idler bushing and top mounting bracket when the steering is all the way to the left. As I turn to the right the busing slides up to...
Can anyone post or send me photos of how these fit a 1974 Charger with a/c. I know they are air dams that are suppose to go by the radiator I just can't seem to solve the position issue. I'm wondering if the new ac condenser is the cause. Photos would be a real help..
Thanks for any help! :D
WOW!! I knew prices had gone up but this is insane!! I bought new felts for my SE back in 2017 for $128.70. Could not find them when I was assembling doors so bought another set. Today I found the first set in a box I had stuffed away. Out of curiosity I looked on E Bay again to see what they...
In October it will be seven years that I have owned my second '74 SE Brougham. Here is a photo of the first time I actually laid eyes on this car. Drove from Texas to Florida and trailered it home.
Last Friday I drove to breakfast with the guys instead if riding my Honda Goldwing Trike...
OK Folks!!! Here we go....
The doors now have emblems (decided to go with 2.5 inches from door leading edge) and a Friendly GURU has educated me on posting Flicker photos. Now I'll try putting that to work!
Keep in mind the paint on this SE Brougham is like glass. No wildcats making HUGE...
My '74 Triple Black Charger SE Brougham is nearly finished. Time to get fully insured now. Most insurance companies that even cover classics won't wright a policy for anywhere near what this car is worth without a Professional Appraisal. Problem is; here in San Angelo, TX there doesn't seem...
I have searched and searched but there seems to be a number of opinions how far from the door leading edge to set the closest piece. On the driver side that is the CHARGER emblem but on the passenger side it's the arrow.
I think everyone agrees the distance between the A Line and the top of...
When I bought my '74 SE eight years ago the TQ leaked like really bad! Phenolic main body was warped and I could not locate a replacement. Bought a rebuilt TQ from Summit Racing. It ran and didn't leak but obviously needed tuned. That helped but still didn't run the way I remembered my...
Several of the guide rollers on my '74 SE window regulators are shot! Some are broken completely while others are in bad shape. Anyone have a source for replacement rollers? I've seen rollers and glides for other year MOPARs but nothing saying for '73/74 SE. Instead of the exact rollers, I'm...
I've had both door glass guide felts on back order for months from PUI , via another vendor. Can't proceed without them. Anyone have a source for these guides. At this point I'd even consider a reasonable condition used set Any help would sure be appreciated!!
I was going through my stack of parts and found this. I believe it's an air dam but can not find where it might belong on my '74 SE Brougham. Any help would be appreciated.
The dam is about twenty inches long, short lip is one inch and log lip maybe 2.5 inches..
I am finally getting to putting things back together. While installing remote driver side mirror I could not remember or locate the correct location for the two loop cable retainer clips. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
I can't believe in the hundreds of photos I have taken the past several years there is not a single one showing where the original door and door sill labels were placed!
Painting is almost complete so I'm hoping someone can post photos for the correct original location.
TIA !!!
I got my '74 SE Brougham back from the guys doing body work for me and quickly realized they had even less idea where the front fender mounting bolts and studs belong. I have the factory body manual but it doesn't clearly show where the threaded studs go. In the bag marked Front fender...
My paint and body guys have been at it now three months and are getting along well. They've reached a road block. Some photos we've found on line seem to show a less pronounced body line mid way between the obvious ones at top and bottom.
If these side lines really do exist, can anyone please...
Been restoring my '74 SE since 2015 and now can't for the life of me remember where this belongs. I have two identical items. Thought they had something to do with holding the door glass when door was closed but now I can't see how they would fit anywhere to do that. Here is four views of the...
I've searched and searched but can't seem to find a '74 Charger tank ready for internal electric fuel pump to feed EFI.
Do I have to go custom build, modify my existing almost new tank, or have I just plain missed one already out there during my searches?
Any help would be really appreciated!!
