This is a brand new OER remote control mirror, still in the box.
I bought this a while ago thinking my 1968 GTX project would have a remote control mirror on the driver's door but it did not. Since I have had it so long, I cannot return it so here's a chance for you to get one.

Looking for a rebuildable core, so it does not have to work but does need to be complete.
Will consider an original working motor as well.

I have the top and the compartment lid.
Chrome seems to be in decent shape but will need paint and new wood grain decals.

I was disassembling my dash cluster and noticed one of the pins where the connector attaches to the circuit board was loose.
The tangs on the underside of the board are broken so no way to try and tighten it.
Has anyone found replacement pins or tried installing a replacement?
New boards are...
I have used a AMD, Goodmark and some generic stuff. The Goodmark quarter skins used on my Coronet R/T were absolute junk with body lines and side marker cutouts off as much as 3" from one side to the other.
Purchased a floor pan support for '65 Buick Convertible from AMD and it fit great and...
I am trying to steer clear of Goodmark products. Had a very bad experience with their quarter panels on my Coronet R/T.
Leaning toward AMD floor pans but thought I would look around at quality and pricing first. Saw that Y.O. had the floor panel at a discount but it didn't say who the...
I will need to remove the roof on my '68 GTX in order to clean up some rust. Assuming the drip rails will need to be removed first.
Anyone done this before that could offer some tips or advice?
When I built the 440 for my signature car I used 915 closed chamber heads with hardened seats and oversized valves.
The motor was built by a local builder who recommended a higher compression ratio due to our elevation (4400 ft.) Dual plane manifold, 870 Holley, 284/284 purple camshaft, flat...
I had originally thought my 1968 GTX had come with optional disc brakes. However when removing my lower control arms I noticed the absence of the anti-sway bar. This caused me to look closer at the LCAs and they do not look correct for the car since there is no place to connect the anti-sway...
I looked through the FSM but didn't see this part.
One of them is broken and both are very brittle so knowing what they are will help me locate replacements.
Thanks.
Read today about the Hellephant crate motor.
1000 hp, 426ci crate motor for your Mopar projects. No pricing announced yet but figure 20k range.
I would imagine you need a new transmission and beefed up rear end to handle it. Plus it doesn't say whether the electronics are included.
Sure...
Does anyone know where I can purchase these?
My car came with only the left one and all I can find are lenses and gaskets.
I have a complete parts list for 1968 Mopars that gives me part # 2853 032-3 but that hasn't produced anything on my searches either.
I am looking to get a correct date coded block for my '68 GTX. A guy has one listed not too far away but something doesn't look right with the numbers stamped on the pad.
My eyes aren't what the used to be so can someone tell me what this mess means?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Purchased this car recently. The pictures show it assembled but the owner had taken it to a restoration shop in town and after they disassembled the car they basically quit working on it.
The guy ended taking the car home in boxes and rather than attempt to restore it himself put it up for...
