While doing a bunch of other work. Seriously considering going to manual steering.
Currently, even with a solid front end build it has that sway in the steering wheel and honestly just seems too loose. It doesn't appear to be caused by an issue. But just seems how I remember a few of my...
I am looking to purchase a complete Super 60..... would rather throw the profits to a member than big business so thought I would reach out.
1966 Satellite
3:73 non spool
Disc Brakes (no parking brake needed)
Before I order one up - which I know will be the best and most correct for my needs - I know I am somewhat looking for a unicorn as I will be a bit picky, but never know.
Just thought I would see what is out there for a good converter for my 505. EZ-1 heads, smaller solid roller (INT/EXH - Dur...
Going to ask this here as I think its probably better target audience than the 66 forum.
66 Satellite - Street car
505 inches Indy EZ-1 heads with both dual plane and single plane options. I am trying to be proactive and realize I may not have enough clearance with either of them for decent...
I asked this in the general section last week and it died a very quick death.....
Need a few sets of BB heads flowed.
Lil bro has a race chassis shop in the area and his buddy with the flow bench up and moved on him :)
So I told him I would reach out to you peeps.
Little bro is looking to get a set or two of heads checked out. So I thought I'd check with this crew of a person or place that can check a couple BB heads.
I am going to need to swap out the 8.75 from my 66 for a Dana 60
I obviously have the option of starting with a complete new set up - from Moser with disc brakes about 4200 bucks. That is about as complete and bolt in as possible. From Strange a little cheaper (when did strange become...
Posting this here as I think its most likely a build more for the racer crowd - even though this will be primarily a street car (but I go overboard so it makes sense)
Truth be told - I have been out of the game for a bit, and when I left I knew little to nothing about big hydraulic roller cams...
My 300c platinum has crossed the 200K mark - no particular issues, my hemi ram still only has 135K on it..... but starting to show its 2005 age.
I need to downsize to one vehicle, and for the most part there are times when I "need" the truck. Now that my daily commute went from 140 miles to 8...
Wanted alum cylinder heads. Capable of supporting 500 plus inches and .600 lift of cam.
Not afraid to buy new. But many are sold out.
Jist checking here before I buy elsewhere.
I know this may seem an odd place to post this - but with the end of season coming up, maybe some of you guys were looking to upgrade to a different head.
Seems every place is out of the TF 270s and similar BB heads. I am tearing the car down in a few weeks and starting the rebuild of the 505...
505 inches
Steel heads
Hyd roller motor
QFT 780 Vac Sec
Eddy RPM dual plane
Mechanical pump
This morning - started up and noticed it was idling a little high (elec choke) so I let it idle and warm up and hit the gas and it came back down. At this point in gear I noticed it was idling a little...
Big Bill I stole your pic -
I am looking for some new knobs for my 66 satellite. I am missing one, the others don't look great, and am missing one from my radio as well. The few that are still on keep falling off (some are cracked on the back side, or just wore out) they fall off randomly...
Everything in my brain tells me I am correct - but I am ordering wheels this morning and down to a couple pair and need to verify.
Current wheels on my 66 are 15x7 with 4 inch BS.
Front wheels have lots of room and thats not an issue, as we are aware the back wheels are a bit tighter in these...
Bought the car used - didn't come with factory disc's. Will need pads soon.
Does this set up look familiar ?
Admittedly I didn't have time to get better pics or search for a number.
Cold beer to the first person that can help me out.
Well it's not quite how it used to be.... but it's a drive-in movie still.
Next month they are playing American Graffiti. So definitely going to hit it up.
We do have an original style drive in about an hour from here and I may visit that this summer.
I'll post more pics later
I don't go to car shows often. But I grew up at them since my old man built and sold street rods. So we were always at one.
On a whim I tool my 66 Satellite a local one. My car isn't anything special by any means. But from a distance it looks ok.
Until an all original 66 Hemi Satellite is...
Purchased a car that went through quite a few hands. But the receipts of the vast majority of the work have Russell Arrigonni as a name.
I just have a few questions on a couple things I cannot find documented.
I tried social media and the number on the receipts, the number did not go through...
