A bittersweet moment viewing these photos. I am glad the car arrived in good shape, and hope you get as much enjoyment out of her as I did. I never felt like an owner, I was merely a custodian.
I guess I need to change my avatar. :)
Thank you B Bodies for the add! I'm asking $29,500 and I am not going to move very far from that. Please keep responses etc. within the rules, and I'll respond to PM'
Original WS23 car bought in SF, CA late in 1966. Have documentation well into the 2000's including certicard, brittle build...
Thank you for the photos Patrick. They explain everything. My mount is much further outboard where it's more flat. Probably done after production. Yours looks like the bezel Herb's supplied. Decision time.
Thanks to everyone else for taking the time to respond and offer answers. I always...
Thank you. The kit I received from Herbs has a very pronounced angle that will cant the antenna inboard. I suspect the hole was drilled post-production, and closer to the outboard part of the fender where it is flatter. A photo would definitely help. Also a photo of the original mounting...
Again, I am less concerned about the telescopic mast than I am about the angle and design of the mount bezel please.
Edit: Comments above had me looking at the broadcast sheet. Under "Radio" it is blank. Early records show the owner installed a Blaupunkt stereo in 1971 which required dash...
I am not near as concerned about them being telescopic as the angle of the antenna compared with the car. I am fairly sure the antenna I removed from my 67 RT was the original, since the guy who restored it 20 years ago lives down the street and told me. LOL. But the bezel on that is a simple...
Were the bezels designed for a flat mounting surface on a rubber grommet, or were they fitted at an angle? Bezel placement and angle are my issues here. I can deal with telescopic, but leery about taking a reamer to a painted surface to make it fit. Thanks for your reply.
Replacing a (supposedly) original antenna on my 67 R/T. I bought a replacement from Herbs, which is supposed to be "1966-67 Dodge & Plymouth B-Body Antenna Kit. Includes Every Part You Need for the Antenna." http://www.herbsparts.com/proddetail.asp?prod=CAKIT6667BB
It is telescoping, and the...
Thank you all for the reply, but this one here from oldbee is what I see from my troubleshooting, and from what the schematic shows. I just wasn't sure if one filament took care of brake and signal, but not both at the same time.
Every time I drive it, some yahoo is yelling at me because one...
Looking at the schematic, the brake lamps go through the signal switch, so electrically I cant see how you would ever get a signal and a brake light on the same side at the same time. Do I not even have a problem here???
PROBLEM RESOLVED
Normal operation, turn signals and brake lights work fine. Both bulbs are 1157's.
Turn either signal on, the corresponding brake light goes out. Everything else works.
I jumped white wire from brake switch power on signal wire plug to the other side of the signal wire plug...
Trashdog, thank you very much for the information and photos. Apparently, I had it right.
Is your blower fan running "real strong," or does it seem anemic? I have two speeds on the fan, checked all connections, even ran the fan with straight 12 VDC. It runs very strong with straight 12...
Hi fellow enthusiasts. I'm going through my factory AC system, found several things wrong and am addressing them.
One problem is that the driver's side-vent ducting goes from the duct, to a flanged disconnect, over the steering column, then down to the evaporator box. (the vent on the end of...
All, I took Lewtot's advice and went after the air bleed on the affected side and sure enough the top tube sticking out was plugged. Not sure what it was plugged with, but it was much harder than carbon build up, and seemed to be a casting issue.
The advance is at 12.5 per the book, as are...
Thanks, I found some of the manuals there and have joined so I can search.
The reason I asked about Edelbrock interchangeability was that I see some scaring on both the metering rods and pistons. 50 year old carburetor and all that.
So far I found no indication either way. Your idle...
Thanks Mopar 3 B. Surge is in any range from cruise to decel. Rods and springs are assembled correctly, but there are no seal rings. Could you please explain these and where they would go? I assume you are referring to the pistons.
I was also wondering if the Edelbrock components are...
