Hey guys,
What are you're thoughts about welding gussets in the US Car Tool sub frame connectors before they are installed?
I have made three gussets to weld in the channel just to ensure it doesn't lean when used for a 'jacking point' or ever twist.
I know it's probably overkill, but.. any...
I think it would be very helpful to start a new forum highlighting the best vehicle UPDATES and FACTS.
This could be read-only.
It could also include answers to the most frequently asked questions.
Content could include; wiring upgrades, Instrument upgrades, also, "largest tires to fit under a...
Was about to order US Car Tool floor pan sub frame connector, then remembered I saw somebody using a straight channel cut through the floor. Obviously, you make you're own channel and fit to frame and need to cut the floor pan, but is one better than the other? Easier?
I have a 68 Plymouth that...
What are you running for brake pads on the 73 duster/dart brakes?
Got sick of the dust from the OEM pads, so I purchased a set of EBC ‘red stuff‘ pads. So far they seem much better!
During replacement my son informed me he needs “his own toolbox”.. oh boy.
How are ya'll balancing you're fancy new 'red line' tires?
I just purchased a new pair and mounted them on 6in rims and this is what they gave me..?!
This after I brought it home and turned the tire on the rim 90 degrees. Then had them balance it again.
My other wheel is a little better but...
So, I have an APSX Wideband O2 Air/Fuel gauge connected to my exhaust immediately aft of the header collector. Two bung's welded vertical and at a 45 degree. This is the fourth O2 sensor that has failed in as many months.

The first two that went bad- I...
Going through the many 'chapters' of new MSD ignition upgrade..
There is a reason MSD includes instructions on rotor phasing with their ignitions.
I mistakenly thought since my engine ran fine and I wasn't going to alter distributor position, I should be fine- wrong.
Only after the 6AL is...
Just put steelies, painted my body color with hub caps.. Question:
Does anybody know how to remove hub caps without scratching painted wheels??
THANKS!!
Ever looked inside you’re deck lid? Thought mine was in good shape until I took a good look.
Has anyone coated the inside with rust inhibitor? I’m at least considering shooting it with spray lube after I paint.
Thanks
Hey guys,
Looking at a disk brake upgrade after discussing my 68 RR brake fade.
I have looked at several kits, but can't figure out why know one makes a drum to disk upgrade to the PIN type caliper? All of the kits I have seen are for the smaller 'slider' calipers.
It's just a bolt on...
I have a 1968 roadrunner with newly serviced manual drum brakes front & rear.
SYMPTON: Brake pedal is 100% when pumped ounce then applied. But when brake pedal pressure is reduced then applied again, pedal goes to the floor.
The brakes on my first roadrunner I owned in high school would...
What shocks are everybody using with Super Stock Springs?
How much longer?
My B body (1968 roadrunner) shocks are 22-3/4" extended.
SS Springs measure 23-3/4" center to center hanging.
How long should my new shocks be??
THANKS!
So, I'm switching Chunks to go from 3.55 to 3.90's..
Of course when I upgraded last year I added 1350 yoke to my 741 with 3.55's.
Now I need to replace the yoke on my 489 chunk.
If I understand this new process..
Mark the threads & nut.
Remove nut.
(Replace seal while I'm in there).
Replace...
Hey all! So, I am in the process of replacing the worn out leaf springs on my 68 RR..
Ran into a crazy problem. The leaf springs are too short!!
I have Mopar Performance bracket set PN: P4120105 for the B-body 116" wheel base.
The springs are PN: P3690454 & 455 and bolt right up to the MP...
68 RR with 383, electronic distributor, no AC.
When installing an MSD 6AL-2, instructions say to 'bypass ballast resistor'.
Regarding the ECU & BR harness:
If I bypass the ECU, BR & remove them, don't they power or connect to anything needed?
I have searched the forums and see different...
Hi guys,
Having trouble identifying which Sure Grip this is.
Picked it up on Craigslist but can't figure out which type.
Listed as a Detroit, but I don't think so.
Also, is there any way to test it before I install?
THANKS!!
So, a while back l posed a question about adding OD to a big block 727.
I was asking how many people were running a dedicated OD tranny, verses some of the aftermarket options. I wanted to follow up and give some initial impressions on what I have found.
I decided on Gear Vendors, mainly...
Where are you guy's putting you're line lock switch?
I have a Column Shift and not sure where it should go?
My first place would be on the end of my gear selector. Not sure how to do that..
THANKS!!
So, my front dust cover's are dented from 50 years of greasing the bearings.
Where do I source a replacement set?
New ones that I have seen are not correct shape.
THANKS!! AJ
