The sliders quit working this morning. I push them and they dont switch from defrost to heat, etc. I take it the switch went bad. Has anyone had this problem and what did you do about it? The fan is stuck on defrost and I can't turn it off. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

In 2000 I bought a 1973 Charger with a 400 and 727. The transmission was painted green. It looked factory. The car was made in St. Louis. I don't think the factory painted automatic transmissions, but this has always puzzled me.
