New Holley 3310 carb - is the aluminum version a good option?

On Holley's website they show 3 different types of the 3310 carb: Dichromate(zinc body), polished aluminum(zinc body), and polished aluminum(aluminum body). Considering today's fuels, would the aluminum unit dissipate heat better than the zinc, but suffer from oxidation issues?

Trivia question: What mopar did this BB oil pan come from?

The engine was a 2bbl 383 with cast crank. So I am assuming a 1971 model year. Any ideas?

Does anyone make BB equal length headers?

I'm confused... is this old school thinking? Isn't it far better to have all the tubes equal length to get the most out of your system? Or is this a race only item that has shown no benefit on the street? I am finally rebuilding my 70 4spd RR and it will have a 440 stroker instead of the NOM...

    440 LP generator update!

OK guys, here goes: This unit was a backup power source in a turkey barn to keep the fans running so the birds didn't get too hot and die. It had very few hours since the power didn't go out very often. However, it was placed next to a set of doors so the doors could be opened to get cooling air...

Can a 440 block from an old LP generator be used in a car?

I have a line on a non running 440 in a scrap LP generator. Aside from the differences between LP and gasoline, are the blocks the same or totally different? It might make for an interesting project...

Need ideas/help for rebuilding a 440 with HP manifolds and pump gas...

Hi guys! So I am starting to restore my 70 Roadrunner (4spd) after many years of storage. The NOM worn out cast crank 383 (yes, cast) that hasn't run in years needs to be replaced with a 440. Don't care about originality but it needs to look somewhat "right". That being said, I am starting...

How much labor cost to rebuild a 440?

I was referred to someone (who will remain anonymous) that I am told is very good at rebuilding Mopar engines. This is not someone working out of his own garage in his backyard. He has been in business rebuilding engines for many years. He is good, just not known in magazines, TV, You Tube, etc...

Clean out original 1970 heater core/radiator or buy new???

I have a heater core that was in a car from Florida. Evidently they didn't use any antifreeze until the car came to Minnesota. It is clogged up and wont pass any fluid through it. My 22" radiator is also gummed up pretty bad since the 383 had overheating issues. Is it better to have them cleaned...

A new member starting a Frankenstein 70 Roadrunner project

Hi!!! I just found this site and had to join right away. What a great place to learn and share. My car is a basket case that was beaten like a rented mule before I bought it in 83. I was going to college and it was all I could afford at the time. It was originally a 383/4spd Sandpebble Beige...
