Is this the new normal? What could be perceived junk asking at premium prices.

Speculators have taken over the hobby and turned it into a business. Money ruins everything.

1400 mile round trip in a ratty Road Runner

I'm on vacation this week, so I loaded up Gladys (my 69 Road Runner) with a tool box and a spare tire and set off to Kentucky and Tennessee to hang out with Bryan McTaggart from Bangshift.com and Uncle Tony himself. Man, I had a blast!

    Hey, CornpatchMO....

Good to hear! The wagon is still in the garage... About the only thing new on it is another coat of dust. I've been driving the Road Runner, weather permitting, but with my new job, I'm a bit strapped for free time. Waiting on warmer weather.... Ron

    Hey, CornpatchMO....

Clean out your inbox, man! You've maxed out your capacity! :) Anyway, just checking in to see how the progress on the Sport Satellite is coming. I may have the Road Runner up your direction later this year and was interested in stopping in to say hello. Hope all is well with you and yours, Ron

    Cell phones and carriers

I have traveled all over the US… The ONLY place I have ever had cellular coverage problems is in Kentucky. I have always used Verizon and would recommend them for anyone. My phone is a Casio G'Zone I. I purchased it in Aug. 2008 and it is still on its original battery.

New project… this is going to be fun!

That's a lot more work than I really wanna put into it. I picked it up cheap and I'm gonna stick with that theme.

New project… this is going to be fun!

The RR moved over one slot in the garage. I've got a bunch of organizing to do before I dive into the wagon... but I couldn't pass up the deal of the century.

New project… this is going to be fun!

Well, Cornpatch Mo came down and picked up the white 68 Sport Satellite, leaving an empty spot in my garage…. You know how empty spots seem to fill up quickly? Yeah… I couldn't leave well enough alone…..

    lug nuts left hand thread

If you choose to switch the studs to RH thread, a word of caution. Do NOT try to press the old studs out. They are swaged and pressing them through will RUIN the hub. The correct way to do this is to center punch the head of the stud and use progressively larger drill bits to remove the head...

First time out and about since 1996...

Nope, I wish it was. It just has the hood that I got in the deal of the century back in 1986. I paid $25 for that hood. It was in a junkyard in north central Kansas. My buddy and I hauled it home on the roof of my 1966 VW Beetle. With the windows down, my buddy and I held onto the hood as we...
