Been searching for pics of a charger with the vinyl top moldings on, but no vinyl top….

68 charger, came with a new aftermarket bumper. Was proceeding to install, and both left and right “ears” (the short elbows that wrap around to the sides) start rubbing the fenders? Knowing nothing about bodywork, can the “ears” be slightly bent outward about 1/2”?
