About this Mopar:
A friend of my brothers picked this car up in Nov. of 2012. It's been sitting in Detroit for 20 years. He was just planning to get it running and flip it. So I decided to get rid of the basket case 66 Plymouth sport fury I had in the garage and bought the Coronet. No worries, the Plymouth went to a good home. Coronet was originally light Gold, it's was repainted a root beer brown metallic color, probably at the time it ended up being parked. 383 was also changed back then. Now has a 68 era 440hp. Apparently it was out of a GTX. Also the 14'' magnums from the GTX. Has period era super stock springs. Original white interior. Pretty solid for a car sitting for 20 years. Need to replace the whole fuel system. Old 5/16 line is very rusty and too small for the 440. Tank has been sitting with gas in it for those 20 years. Hope to have it derivable by the end of April. I'll post some better pictures when it's cleaned up and running.
9-15-2013. Bummer, wasn't able to get the car drivable this year. Did get it running, but still need to redo the fuel lines and tank. Also have new brake lines to put on. My brother was working on a customer's 70 Charger recently and the guy wanted a different exhaust. Nice set of 2 & 1/2 duals will be going on my car. I just added 2 pictures of the grill that was redone by Chrome Dan in mid-michigan. He does great work. 7-14-2014 couple pics of the old and new rims and tires.
