Good for you! I’m thinking I have 1 more year in me, and I’m cutting ties with work.
Congratulations on making it to retirement @moparwacko - similar game to me, but I couldn't do the Lineman thing. Much prefer being a regular Industrial Sparkie now. I guess I have a few more years before I can settle in to late morning starts, and getting on with my hobbies.
Make the most of every day.....and enjoy yourself.![]()
Wow, did you start working when you were 7?11,400 some odd days
I got you beat by another 4,300 days.

I was just counting my time in the power utilities trade. I probably could add another 4 years working at a AMC/JEEP dealer as a parts man/mechanic. I learned a lot from the old guys there.
This will give me time to build another car- 67- 69 Dart? 66-67 Coronet? Jeep CJ? AMC Gremlin? Options are open.....
You forgot the fedora, and the sandals with black socks...I am now officially an old geezer. Immediate plans are to go buy a 74 Buick Centurion and drive 43 mph in the passing lane with my left blinker on wearing those huge sunglasses.![]()
Buy some land and a real tractor... you can stay busy!
