Driving to the uae(dubai)this 27th to catch a guns n roses gig on the 28th. This will be the fifth time ill be going to get to see one of my heros(axl rose).
The best thing this time around will be that ill be:headbang: driving my 1974 roadrunner to go see them.14 hour drive through the desert ...should be interesting
pics will be following.....

Take your time. From what I've heard, you could show up 2 hours late & you will still beat him to the venue.

yup heard about that ..dont mind would wait more than that cause he give a 3 .half hour show

Wow. I've seen some crazy videos of drivers out on the Arabian Peninsula. I'm sure you're aware of them, but be careful.

I'm jealous- haven't driven hours to see a show since the 90's. Drove 4 hours each way to see James Brown. So worth it.

Have a blast, enjoy that Mopar!

Have fun in the RR

Have a safe and fun trip. For me though if I were to be in your exact same position, I would pick a better venue to see than them. Never enjoyed their music at all...Just an Ole Time Rock n Roller....

ive been a fan of them since i was a child ......ive seen them 5 times already so all good...
i grew up listening to rock n roll bands like deep purple Uriah heep ccr iron maiden priest sabbath ........... me uncles where huge rockers back in the day

So how do they compare to Slash's Snake Pit?

I've heard that is a better "GNR" show than GNR!

I'm more of a Slash fan, anyway, though.

post some pirated video on youtube after the trip in the mopar ... sweet child of my-yaiinnn!

14 hours 1 way? Whats that 600 miles or so? I take it gas is cheap. Do they have stations in the middle of the nowhere desert? This sounds like quite the adventure? Are there speed limits out there? Where are you now? What direction are you coming from? I would love to look up the route you will be taking.

It's Qutar/Dubai...gas is given to citizens free of charge (along with a free college education that is funded by oil profits) and sold to others at ONLY 100% markup...for $1 a gallon.

OK, part of that was a joke, please bear with me.

So, how much IS gas over there????

I agree....no slash no guns....I did see axle on tv and at least he seems to have his chit together and puts on a long show... Im not crazy for slashes new singer either...

ive not seen slash band play but the new gnr bloody fantastic. everytime ive seen them they just rocked out for 3 to 4 hours ...and the crowd/atmosphere.
used to be a slash fan and still am to a certain extent but for me axl still the guy who,s got his rock n roll
who still does what he wants, not selling out for commercial success etc again

Have fun. I've been to Dubai many times. In fact, I'll be going there in May/June. Lots of things to do and see. Just be careful
