What is the correct radial tire size for a 1967 Dodge Charger with 14" rims? Thanks!

Radials were not on that car when new. What you would do is, interpolate the factory size to the corresponding size radials. Example: F7014 would be P215-70R14.

I agree. My new 1969 SuperBee came with F70x14 tires. So 215-70R14 would be closest size replacement. I think the 1967 Charger originally had 7.75x14 tires, same as my '67 R/T.

My 66 charger had G78-14s in old school tire size I think that breaks down to 215/75R14 in new school tire sizing.

Hmmm. It seems like I'm always rowing against the current.

I guess it depends on which "original" dimension you want to hold, as you cannot match the original tire dimensions with a P series tire, I think.

For me, the most important dimension on that big ol Charger is the tire diameter. A 7.75-14 was over 27" tall. BFG used to make a P235-70-14 TA that I thought looked well balanced. I think it was just short of 27". I think a 215 is less than 26"

Last time I went to buy tires, BFG no longer made the 235-70-14. Because of that, I stepped up to a 15"

Very nice Charger. I have not very often seen those "Mag-look" wheel discs on a Charger, given that they already had a special disc. I know they were an option, and my 1967 R/T came with a full set of them in the trunk. My R/T was a 20-year-old car when I bought it. The original engine and transmission were gone, but the wheel discs survived!

Thanks.

Yes, it was an opton. "Deluxe" wheel covers. $21.30

When I stepped up to the 15s, I went to Magnum 500s too. I think it looks good w/ the Magnums, but I miss the hub caps, and they enhanced the sleeper look, IMO. As pictured, the car ran 11.70s at 120.

I think there is a way 14" hub caps can be made to work on 15" rims. I might do that some day.

225/70-14 are probably best for the stock 5-1/2" rim
