I'm not crazy! I want to pull my 440 and put a 318 in it.
why you will ask... here is why:
Because of life and children, I don't have much time to work on the car, so to avoid not being able to drive the car like this year where I just started driving it a few weeks ago after redoing all the electric parts and freshing up the interior.
I live overseas in Switzerland and here is difficult to come by a 440 in any stage of conservation, but I've a few 318 laying around.
so the idea is to pull the 440 and put the 318, so I can drive around when the snow is gone next year, and have time to rebuild the 440 without stressing myself.
Car is a 1967 GTX 4 speed.
I've made a list of things I think I'll need:
- flywheel
- bell housing
- Schumacher motor mounts
- fabricate a connector for the exhaust manifold
am I missing something?
