I have a 67 R/T and a 67 440 hp engine out of another R/T. The build date is close to my R/T's. Since there is no VIN on the block could this block pass as numbers matching? I know it is not the factory original but.....:idea1:

No. Numbers matching means the VIN, if there is one stamped on the block, matches the VIN of the car. 1967 blocks can't be numbers matching as the VIN wasn't stamped on the block. The engine could be considered date correct if the casting, assembly and associated date coded parts are appropriate to the scheduled production date of the car.

Yep, it would be as good as it gets. I'm going through this exercise now with my 66 Hemi Belvedere.
