Turns out the M/C on the coronet is toast after sitting the last 20 years....Car has the 4 piston Bendix disc brakes. Found a new M/C from Mancini and Year one doesn't have any rebuild kits in stock, and I can't seem to find a dorman kit. Anyone have a source for a kit, or number(s) for one, or should I just suck it up and buy the new Mancini unit?
 
It depends on whether or not you have an N.O.S. MOPAR / Bendix
222.... etc. O.E.M. Master Cylinder or not.....

If not , go " aftermarket "....

If you do have one of the N.O.S. units, they are worth 10 times rebuilt than a New aftermarket.....

The Master Cylinder Kits --- ARE NOT --- made/ packaged by any company...
I have some Master Cylinder Kits --- New Old Stock.....

Master Cylinders --- $ 99.00 New // No Core Required.....
Master Cylinder Kits --- $ 55.00.... limited quantity (more than ZERO (0)
LOL !!!).....

mobileparts has you covered, i used a NOS kit from him also to rebuild my mc.
Still going strong!
 
Odds are good it will not clean up with honing so a new kit will not help. You should check condition before ordering a kit.

I don't know whether he is A) a gambler & B ) a good gambler (( LOL ))

But, if it can be rebuilt --- then, that is great, and a kit will cure your problem....
If NOT, and it must be Sleeved --- because it will not clean up with a simple hone --- a sleever will need this kit, because they have N O access to the correct kit, by application .....

So, either way --- whatever the odds are --- it is still a good idea to procure this kit --- because in 3 1/2 weeks --- @ Chryslers @ Carlisle --- the greatest MOPAR Event on Planet Earth ,

I could be Out Of Stock, with no way to find any more.....

That is an Original MOPAR Lid, for sure…..

Flip the Master Cylinder over and see if it has the word
“ Bendix “ ( they were original for MOPAR, and put their name on their product…) and a casting number, like
222 6501…..

If it has those markings, it IS original….

Certainly worth Rebuilding or Resleeving , for you or for somebody else…….
