Just remembered another one

Early had slider ash tray. It had padding. Slide down instead of pulling open.

Second one with blue interior has slider ash tray and the early, with zeros, speedo but later horn padded button. And later rectangular “Vent” pulls instead of the round pulls 1 wild mentioned.

This red interior pic shows slider ash tray, round vent knobs, and Inland shifter instead of later Hurst, and later padded trim ring button. (Pic is a charger).

P.S. I don’t know if any 68s ever got the wood paneled console lid but all I’ve seen had chrome ribbed.

Later had pull down like 69 and 70. No padding. Best pic I can find at the moment of later style 68 ashtray.
