Hopefully this is not too dumb of a question. On my 68 coronet with the 7.2l 440, upon sitting at stop light or a stop of any kind When I push the accelerator it is slow to respond, any ideas would help? Next thing after I run the car for any length of time and stop and **** it off for twenty or so when I go to start it again it takes me 10 min to to get it started, any ideas? Thanks.

is the carb tuned and engine timed correctly? When you go to restart it does it spin fast, slow, normal?

For the hard start issued it could be flooding while sitting or boiling the gas out of the bowl.
Next time you drive it and let it sit for 20 or so when you crank it push the throttle to the floor and see if it fires up easier if it does then it's flooding. Heat in the carb is most likely the culprit. You could start off by trying a phenolic carb spacer

Are you running an Edelbrock carb? I bet you are. They are terrible for boiling out the gas. Holley is a bit better with the bowls out on the ends. Phenolic spacer for sure on an Edelbrock carb......

If it was not for the fact it is not running correctly. Just do not try starting it hot until it sits for 30 minutes. But really the make and type of carborator would really help here plus maybe some simple diagnosis on your part. Other wise find a good repair shop to take it to and let them take care of it.

probly changed the fuel line locations and added an adaptor to adapt the Holly which solve problem.

if she is spinning properly THIS is my answer as well. all the other comments all compliment each other very well and frankly are correct.
