Are there CLIPS on the sides?
Noticed a little "Paint Lift" near RH bottom corner, seems bottom trim just glued on with gasket sealer. Terrified to start finding what might be underneath! Last time I got into this, ended up blasting and $25K worth of sheet metal and Re-Paint. I build motors and do wiring, very limited on body & paint. Uuughh

Restoring my 69 and its been awhile, years, since I removed this trim. If I recall Correct it’s clipped in. From the pic it Looks like it may have penetrated the metal. If so water probably got inside. Look Through the trunk from up under the parcel tray. You should be able to see if/where it’s rusted. Mine was worst case scenario.

Holy smokes! Pretty rotten. My last resto was a WS27L convertible, one I have now is an A12 car. What I'm seeing from inside trunk upward UNDER the corners.. Guess it could be worse. I'd like to slap the clown that took the shortcuts, especially on the RH side, looks like some brazing went on LH corner.. Def had water getting past into trunk. (Stains on fenders)

Doesn’t look to bad on the underside. You still have solid metal from the looks. I’d clean up what you can and seal it with a rust converter. The trunk drip rail area look like it needs cleaned up. Maybe sanded down in those areas and repaired. I have a new set of AMD lower window corner patch panels L/R. If you go that route let me know and I’ll sell both for $50 plus shipping. I think the are 50-100 a piece normally. I bought them before I realized I needed full quarters. All fixed up now!

There are clips for the trim around the entire rear glass

Wow, thanks for ALL of the reply's. I grew up in body & paint with my father back in the '70s (explains WHY I don't do it for a living)! I suppose I did get lucky it's not further rotted. "BAFRAID" looks great! That's a lotta welding..
I may get back to you for those panels after back surgery, (trying to talk myself OUT of..It never ends )
"DADSBEE" & "BIG D A12" Thanks for the pics! I did find em. They are smaller than I thought. Wonder HOW MUCH a replacement REAR GLASS costs for one of these.. Mine still has all of the 4-26-69 glass, was my father's car. I'm pretty lucky to have it. Most guys here are older than me, (Just hit 51), 12 yrs in the Army will make ya feel 80 pretty quick.

You are very welcome!!! I’d say you have a very special car. I mean a lot of guys find barn cars that are rare or one-of-a-kind. There is nothing like owning the car your dad owned and you grew up with. Memories can’t be bought or sold!!! No matter what the price.
