1969 T7 Saddle Bronze Metallic Paint

Check what the required primer/sealer color is supposed to be. With the Summit Racing Bronze single stage paint, they want that over a black primer/sealer

Wanda is available at NAPA.
Not at the 2 NAPA stores here in my area.
I went to a distributor that a guy at the Wesco store told me of. The girl there took my paint info
and said she would call to find out if there was a mix formula for the omni. She said sometimes they don't release it if it's not profitable.

Like I pm'd you, they won't have a formula because its too old and a mopar.
Maybe a common ford mustang color, or gm.
Even if they had a formula, then we're back to using omni (which I wouldn't), for the bottom or inside which...would suffice.
But not the engine bay, as it won't match the correct color or metallic effect of tge outside
The bottom shouldn't be full color anyway.
I have a single and a base formula for the ford 5T color. I only have a base forumla for the saddle bronze.
But I could look the compostion of the ford formulas and apply it to make a single stage saddle bronze.

they may not have actual formulas for the exact application; but.......

I think I mentioned the universal color map to you in my PM also.
I also said if the color is wrong you will hate it forever.
I have repainted peoples cars because the shade and metallic was off.

So it looks like in July 2023 I paid 278.88 for
1 gal lacquer thinner,
1 gal grease and wax remover,
a package of tack cloths,
1 gal of PPG Shop Line JAUJBA/GL 2032 dk bronz poly (not sure what the JBA/GL is??? maybe the hardener and reducer?)
These were purchased from our local PPG paint supplier, Painters Supply and Equipment Company

Also here is a link to some paint info on T7 (there is a lot more info out there)
I used paint for the bottom of the car, under the hood and inside the car.
My plan is to use base coat clear coat for the exterior by color matching this Shopline single stage.
Because the BC/CC and single stage do not match.

If you have any questions let me know

I have used all PPG paint for my last couple of cars. Don mentioned that single stage and their 2 stage are not exact matches, and is that correct. While I have not used their single stage, I do use the Shopline for inside the cabin and the bottom of the cars. It is alot cheaper than Deltron, but the Deltron is a much more vibrant color than Shopline.

Joel, just to clarify, you said: "While I have not used their single stage, I do use the Shopline for inside the cabin and the bottom of the car"
What type of Shopline did you use on the bottom and inside the cabin?

I am not a painter, and to me the terminology can be confusing, but yes Deltron base coat/ clear coat (BC/CC or 2 stage) is what I believe my painter friend recommended for the outside of the car. It is a LOT more expensive, but a much higher quality!

And from what I understand PPG Omni, and PPG Shopline are basically the same, just some suppliers will only carry one or the other.
and If I am wrong... someone please correct me!
