So it's engine rebuild time for my 1970 FM3 satellite conv. Turns out that I am missing the fan and crank pulleys. Getting a replacement crank balanced so I really need a crank pulley ASAP. The parts manual tells me the crank pulley is 2946789 and the fan pulley is 2951092. I suspect that the newer engines have a different bolt pattern.

I have a 2 groove crank pulley from a 1968 B Body 318. I'll check and see if there's a part number on it.

2946789 is 3.215 inches high and approximately 7 5/16 inches across.
I found this info on another page.

Outer pulley overall diameter is 6-3/4"
Inner pulley overall diameter is 6"
Overall depth is 2-1/2"
Mounting holes are NON symmetrical

Removed from a 1968 B Body 318.

Sandblasted, primed and painted.

1970 and newer requires a different pulley setup...1968 stuff is completely different

69 and back has a cast iron water pump which is 3/4 of an inch shorter than the 70 up aluminum water pump and the pulleys are shorter in depth. 70 up has an aluminum w/p. The top pulley is 3 inches in depth. Not sure on the crank. I’ll see if I have another 70 up set. Kim
