I have a few questions on exhaust for 1970 road runner 383 - what are the correct finishes for the muffler and tail pipe hangers and where can I buy correct ones? I also would like to run 2 1/2" pipe all the way back but I know a correct exhaust tapers down to 2 1/4" before the muffler. Does anyone make a correct looking (meaning bends and routing) but in 2 1/2" all the way back? Does anyone make the factory style tail pipe and chrome tip clamps in 2 1/2"? None of these parts need to be concours winning level just look close to factory style.

The original hangers are natural, Accurate sells the correct ones. I clear coat mine so they stay looking good. I am going with TTI for my exhaust as they have a correct 2-1/2 all the way back with tips at damn near half the cost of Accurate. Their hangers are ugly though so go elsewhere for those.

I have 2-1/2” TTI on my 67 GTX. The 2-1/2 tailpipes are a tight fit but it ends up fine. The bends are much better than any stock ones, the DynaMax muffler cases are not crimped on the corners, and as noted above the muffler hangers do not look stock, but overall it looks reasonably close to OE. Back when I installed it 25 years ago I could buy SS 2-1/2” muffler tips but I understand they are hard to find now.
