1970 roadrunner 440 engine oil

Hello everyone, I am having trouble finding the correct 15w-40 non-synthetic engine oil for a 440 engine which came out of a 1970 roadrunner. Every single 15w-40 engine oil that I come across says its for Diesel engines. I am not sure if it will be right for the 1970 440 engine. Can someone who knows where to get this oil help me. Thank you very much.

BTW... the diesel oil is what you'll want if you don't want to spend up for Penn or similar..

Rick Ehrenberg just wrote an article in Mopar Action stating 10w30 best for most all muscle mopars. I have been using 10w30 synthetic blend in my big block mopars since the 1990s when I had a Ford powertrain engineer tell me it was the best for classic motors. I'll try to find the article.

Here is the write up. I do add a small bottle of ZDDP at each change with 10w30 max life.

Valvoline vr1 20-40 @ most major auto supply stores.. high zinc

I am trying out the Castrol "Classic" 20-50 in a 350 that I just built. This is the first time that I have tried it, but I think it is a good, high zinc, affordable oil. I think it comes in 10-30 as well. I will probably be putting it in my 440 when I get it back on the road after it comes back from paint shop.

I like the Ehrenberg quote about the oil level, I use the low mark for full on the dipstick too. Around half really but closer to 1 qt low. I have a 7qt milodon pan so I have a bit to spare. I use Gibbs driven conventional 10w30 on a stroker with solid lifters. If I had a stock 440 I would use rotella t4 10w30 diesel oil for tight clearance or 15w40 for loose, based on oil pressure. I like that Castrol released a hot rod oil as well, have to check that out.
