Replaced both quarters on my GTX seems there are partial posts about location but nothing specific to locations. Anybody have any insight on the locations?

I'm pretty sure but not positive, but I think they are placed behind the doors & in front of the rear wheel openings. sorry I don't have measurements either. Maybe look at some old photos of 71 GTXs?

This help?

The following template was prepared ~30 years ago for a similar effort. We made it for the driver side, but is used for the passenger side by flipping it over. The paper is 8"X10.5". The alignment is along the lower body line on the bottom side of the paper and a fold on the edge for matching to the door edge. Dimensions for the various points are marked. It's not pretty, but usable.

Edit: Added another car picture and a better template picture with some marks cleaned up.

That emblem looks slightly crooked

It does look a little off in this picture, but not in person. I noticed it too after posting. It was the only close up picture I had though. The car is my brother's and not here. I'll have to double check the next time I see it. I added a full picture of the other side to the post for a better view.
