1987 New Yorker Turbo, worth anything?

Just picked up a 87 new Yorker, found out it was a turbo car, but now has a NA 2.2. good shape, 67,000. Starting to rust on rockers etc

And it talks...

Fixing it up for the old lady, worth anything or are we talking 800-1000 car?

If it starts and runs well, especially in your winter environment, it's not the worst car in the world. You don't have to worry about rust or someone sliding into you on a icy morning.

As far as it being a cruiser, sure...It is good for that.
Regarding collector value, I stand by my assessment in my previous post.

those cars are made to fail, not trying to be rude at all, my grandpa is obsessed with a 87 dart, the spare parts for the engine are none here, the transmission is burned not even in junk yards are available, the interior is toasted and I really mean it, sun toasted, use your valuable time in something else... although you are right, the seats are real comfortable.

Man! They really were putting turbos on everything in the mid 80s. I can remember
(Judas Priest bassist) Ian Hill saying, that around the time they put out their album titled 'Turbo' the guys in the band were buying turbo-powered sports cars and such..and at one point he bought a certain vacuum cleaner because it had 'turbo' in the name...

Yes, the guy I bought by it from wanted it, he installed a fresh rebuilt 2.2 .
I thought it was odd too, as the price was the same...

My buddy had a 1985 might have been an 89 hell that was long ago, LaBaron GTS that little thing would haul.. Great fun we had in that old car.
