It's Tuesday so this must by your before-the-event reminder for the 16th race of the 24-race 2014 season. Only 3 more races left before the points are reset after the U.S. Nationals.

The 27th Annual O'Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Northwest Nationals, August 1-3, at Pacific Raceway in Kent, WA, will conclude the 2014 Western Swing.
As always, your picks need to be posted before Pro Qualifying starts on Friday, August 1 in order to qualify for all event bonus points. Pro qualifying is scheduled to start at 5:30PM EDT (2:30PM PDT).
The current weather forecast is for high temps of 83-85F through the weekend with partly cloudy conditions and 0% chance of any rain at the 280' elevation track. The weather conditions combined with the oxygen-generating towering trees surrounding Pacific Raceway should make for some great race conditions.
The Northwest Nationals entry list is posted on http://www.nhra.com/events/entrylist16.aspx and now shows 17 Top Fuel, 18 Funny Car and 16 Pro Stock entries, but the counts are still subject to change. Pro Stock Motorcycle will not race at this event nor at the Lucas Oil Nationals in Brainerd, MN, in two weeks. the next time we'll see the Pro bikes on the track will be at the U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis.
Keep checking http://www.nhra.com/events/entrylist16.aspx for an updated entry list.
Get your picks posted EARLY and GOOD LUCK!
