Weather may be an issue for the Kansas Nationals...
I just checked the Topeka-area weather forecast on MSN.com and it's looking a little "iffy" for the Kansas Nationals:
Friday - 64F high with 40% chance of rain
Saturday - 70F high with 60% chance of rain
Sunday - 74F high with 90% chance of thunderstorms
Monday - 78F high with 90% chance of rain
It may be a good thing there's an open weekend before the next scheduled event in Englishtown.

I'm using "carryover" picks from the Atlanta race for Topeka. They'll get round win points, but no event bonus points.

Congrats to bobtile (FBBO) for winning the Top Qualifier title for the 2015 NHRA Kansas Nationals with an outstanding total of 22.5 bonus points. bobtile picked the #1 qualifier in Top Fuel and Funny Car and the #4 qualifier in Pro Stock. alsant (FBBO) was the runner-up with 20.0 bonus points.
6pk2goDemon was the top FABO qualifier with 19.5 bonus points.

* 7 different Top Fuel drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #5 qualifier Shawn Langdon (1 pick) and #12 qualifier Doug Kalitta (4 picks). There is also a possibility of two head-to-head matchups in Round 2 of eliminations.
* 5 different Funny Car drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #8 qualifier Matt Haga (7 picks) and #9 qualifier Robert Hight (3 picks). There is a possibility on one head-to-head matchup in Round 2 of eliminations.
* 7 different Pro Stock drivers picked this week but no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possibility of three head-to-head matchup in the 2nd round of eliminations.

Can you believe it? We're already 1/3 through the 2015 NHRA season!
Here are the results and point standings following completion of the Kansas Nationals in
Topeka, KS.
Congratulations to 'Back in Time' (FABO) for winning the "Top Picker Eliminator" title for this event with an outstanding point total of 122.0 points. He picked the class winner in Funny Car and both his Top Fuel and Pro Stock picks went to the finals before losing. His point total was aided by picking up event speed bonus points in Top Fuel.
'memike' (FABO) was the event runner-up a very nice total of 118.5 points with class winner picks in Funny Car and Pro Stock. His Top Fuel pick lost in the 2nd round of eliminations. He also picked up event ET and speed bonus points in Pro Stock.
The top FBBO player this week is 'bobtile' with 92.5 points.

As always, your picks need to be posted before Pro Qualifying starts on Friday, June 5 in order to qualify for all event bonus points. Pro qualifying is scheduled to start at 3:45PM EDT (12:45PM PDT).
The SummerNationals entry list is posted on NHRA.com and currently shows 18 Top Fuel, 15 Funny Car, 16 Pro Stock and 17 Pro Stock Motorcycle entries, but the counts are subject to change.
