Yeah I like those too, I was thinking Clay or maybe even Leah again,
but went with Britney, she was fast in testing early this year too,
IF she can get her reaction times better she could be a real challenger now...

It was a toss up which Force car I was going to pick,
I was thinking John 1st but decided on Robert instead, He has Zippy as C/C...
I like your thinking going with Wilkerson,
he does well when it's a loose track & altitude too...

My P/S pick was a toss up with Greg or Jason,
until some of the Mopar's finally get their chit together, down a full tenth almost,
that's a car length in P/S, hurts in the little pt.'s too...

Just my thoughts, spit-balling

good luck everyone

Did anyone see that the NHRA starter Mark Lyle died ?,
while trying to rescue a drowning friend, while on vacation in Mexico,
anyway too young, in his 60's...
I'm not sure all the details but IMO that's the true act of valor,
giving you life to trying to save another...
He unfortunately paid the ultimate price too...

RIP Mark,
you were a good man & a great starter, kept a cool head on the staring line...

Yeah, Clay has been running strong and one of these days he's going to get that first NHRA win. Who knows when, though. I'm hoping Tim can notch his second win of the season early. These guys are easy picks for me because they're two of my favorite drivers.

Someone on Competition Plus said Mark Lyle drowned while trying to help someone caught in a rip tide. What a shame.

Congrats to 'cuda20' (FABO), 'Gpuller' (FBBO) and 'alsant' (FBBO) for sharing Top Qualifier title of the 2017 DENSO Spark Plug NHRA Nationals, all with a very nice total of 22.5 bonus points. 'cuda20' and 'Gpuller's' picks qualified #1 in both Funny Car and Pro Stock, and #4 in Top Fuel. 'alsant' went a slightly different way with a #1 pick in Funny Car, a #2 pick in Pro Stock, and a #3 pick in Top Fuel. Way to go!
'Back in Time' (FABO) was just behind with 22.0 points.
Good luck all in eliminations tomorrow!

We have 17 players for the 4th event of the 2016 NHRA "Pick 'Em game season and 15 different driver combos made up of:
* 5 different Top Fuel drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups and a possibility of only one head-to-head matchup in the 2nd round of eliminations if they all survive the opening round.
* 8 different Funny Car drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup. This time between #7 qualifier John Force (3 picks) and #10 qualifier Matt Hagan (3 picks). There are also 2 potential head-to-head matchups in Round 2 of eliminations.
Selfishly, 'super-bee_ski' (FABO) and I have to hope y'all go down early because our Funny Car didn't even qualify for Sunday eliminations!
* 4 different Pro Stock drivers picked this week and one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #4 qualifier Drew Skillman (1 pick) and #13 qualifier Jeg Coughlin Jr. (1 pick). Also a possibility of one head-to-head matchups in the 2nd round of eliminations.

Good luck all (except in Funny Car!). LOL!!!

My picks weren't like what was posted by OC. I picked class winner in Pro Stock, and each of my picks in TF and FC each won one round. I don't think it would affect my points but OC if you want to check into this it would be great.

You're right - I corrected the post.
Didja notice it was well after midnight when I posted the results - way too late for me. I must have been looking at your class picks qualifying positions instead of the round wins.
