2016 6th Annual FABO NHRA "Pick 'Em" Game - Get Ready To Make Your Picks!!!

My Brainerd picks:

TF: Steve Torrence
FC: Tommy Johnson Jr.
PS: Jason Line
PSM: Eddie Kraweic

Good luck all!

Alexis DeJoria will not be competing at the Lucas Oil Nationals in Brainerd, MN, this weekend according to an article on NHRA.com. She is not sufficiently healed from her injuries at Sonoma.
Any worsening of the injuries would cause her to miss the remainder of the season.
She has her sights set on returning at the U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis.

Big Daddy used to have Navy on his rail.

Congrats to '6pk2goDemon' (FABO) and 'alsant' (FBBO) for sharing the Top Qualifier title for Lucas Oil Nationals with a nice total of 29.0 bonus points. They both picked the #1 qualifier in Top Fuel, the #2 picks in both Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle and the #5 qualifier in Funny Car. Way to go!
'SSG Karg' (FABO and "super-bee_ski' (FBBO) were just behind with 28.0 points each.
Good luck all in eliminations tomorrow!

We have 17 players for the 17th event of the 2016 NHRA "Pick 'Em game season and 15 different driver combos made up of:
* 5 different Top Fuel drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups, but a possibility of two head-to-head matchups in the 2nd round of eliminations if they all survive the opening round.
* 7 different Funny Car drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups, but a possibility of three head-to-head matchups in the 2nd round of eliminations.
* 4 different Pro Stock drivers picked this week with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups but a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in the second round of eliminations.
* 4 different Pro Stock Motorcycle drivers with no possible head-to-head matchups until the semi-final round of eliminations.

Good luck all!!!

Here are the results and point standings following completion of the Northwest Nationals, the 16th event of the 2016 NHRA season. The Top Fuel and Funny Car finals were contested during the 3rd round of qualifying today at the Lucas Oil Nationals in Brainerd, MN. The Pro Stock final will not be run until qualifying at the U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis over the Labor Day holiday weekend, but none of the players in our "Pick 'Em" game picked either of the Pro Stock final round contestants. I may have to come back and adjust these points, but only if either of the final round contestants run a lower E.T. or higher speed than was already run at the Northwest Nationals.

Congratulations to 'Nick2317' (FBBO) for being the "Top Eliminations Picker" with a nice event total of 104.0 points. 'Nick2317' picked the class winner in Top Fuel and his Funny Car and Pro Stock picks both lost in the semi-final round of eliminations.
'jimw' (FABO) was the event runner-up with 80.0 points.

'Duster79' was the top FABO finisher with 75.0 points
