The Auto Club Finals entry list is posted on NHRA.com and currently shows 18 Top Fuel, 19 Funny Car, 18 Pro Stock and 19 Pro Stock Motorcycle entries, but the counts are always subject to change. Keep checking NHRA.com for an updated entry list.

Nov. 11th seems so far away :BangHead:

Bud and Nick - let's see one of you guys bring this thing home!

Bud and Nick - let's see one of you guys bring this thing home!
:thankyou:

problem is everyone or most anyone on the top
picks all the same cars/drivers
that's why they are there
it's extremely hard to gain any points
or to actually separate yourself,
you have to throw a 'wild card' in & 'roll the dice'
it's a gamble

makes for an interesting end of season now

I was mid pack a while ago
I changed the picks up in the "count down"/playoffs
I went with some different than my normal favorite picks

so far so good

Hard to believe we're already at the final event of the 2018 season.
This is your last 'Tuesday-before-the-event' reminder of 2018. The Auto Club Finals starts Friday, November 9, the final event of the Countdown and the final event of the 2018 NHRA season.
The event entry list currently shows 18 Top Fuel, 20 Funny Car, 20 Pro Stock and 21 Pro Stock Motorcycle entries.
Make your choices carefully. This event provides 15 points per elimination round win so a lot of position changing is likely.
The extended weather forecast shows a high temp of 77F on Friday, 75F on Saturday and 76F on Sunday with not even a hint of rain (that's what you typically get in early November in SoCal).

Post your picks and good luck!

Ill go with

Hey guys, I'm going to be out of town all weekend so there won't be any qualifying round updates posted.
I'll do my best to get the final results posted ASAP next week.

Finally getting to the final results for the 2018 NHRA season...thank for your patience.

Congratulations to 'Budnicks' (FBBO) and 'johnnycuda' (FABO) for sharing the Top Qualifier title for the 2018 NHRA Finals with very nice totals of 27.0 bonus points each. 'Budnicks' picked the #1 qualifier in Pro Stock Motorcycle, the #2 qualifier in Top Fuel, the #5 qualifier in Funny Car and the #6 pick in Pro Stock. 'johnnycuda' picked the #1 qualifier in Top Fuel, the #3 qualifier in Pro Stock Motorcycle, and the #5 qualifiers in both Funny Car and Pro Stock.
'Back in Time' (FABO) and 'stroked340' (FABO) shared the runner-up spot with 26.5 bonus points each.
Our game visitor, 'gtxracer' (FBBO), played again this week and had a qualifying total of 27.5 bonus points. Watch out for this guy for the 2019 season!

Way to go!!

We had 14 players for the Finalsthis week to start the Countdown with 13 different driver combos made up of:
* 5 different Top Fuel drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups and a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in Round 2 of eliminations.
* 6 different Funny Car drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There was a possibility of two head-to-head matchups in Round 2 if all four drivers won their opening round of eliminations.
* 5 different Pro Stock drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There was a possibility of two head-to-head matchups in Round 2 if all four drivers won their opening round of eliminations.
* 4 different Pro Stock motorcycle drivers picked this week with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups and a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in Round 2 of eliminations.

Final elimination results soon...

I was thinking of posting the season-end results in a two-part package like I did last year so both the NHRA Finals event winner and the 2018 NHRA "Pick 'Em" game winner could both get their share of glory, but when the game leader wins the final event it takes the suspense away!

Congratulations to 'Back in Time' (FABO) for winning the 2018 NHRA Finals "Top Picker Eliminator" title with an outstanding total of 251.5 points. He picked the class winners in Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle pick went to the final round of eliminations before losing. About the only thing 'Back in Time' didn't get at this event were either ET and Speed bonus points.
'Budnicks' (FBBO) was the event runner-up with 232.0 points.

Here's where the bonus points were earned if you picked the right drivers:

Top Fuel
E.T. - Leah Pritchett, 3.631 during qualifying
Speed - Brittany Force, 333.58 during qualifying

Funny Car
E.T. - Ron Capps, 3.848 during qualifying
Speed - Ron Capps, 331.53 during qualifying

Pro Stock

So now we have 3 months to rest up and get more done on our Mopars each weekend.
The 2019 NHRA season kicks off with the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com, Feb. 7-10, right back at Auto Club Raceway at The Fairplex in Pomona, CA.
I've already got my ticket for Friday qualifying and I'm more than ready for that first "nitro fix" of 2019.
See you there!
Watch for the 2019 game notice post sometime in January.

Thanks for playing and Happy Holidays all!

Dammit ..atleast I got top 5 .....sometime I will have to go with the sensible picks instead of picking my buddy every race .....But anyways thanks to OC and everyone else for playing looking forward to next season already

Congrats, you guys! I don't know if I'll play next year or not. I just find it unwatchable anymore. The TV people are so bad. I didn't even finish watching the last race.
