Here's your 'Tuesday before the race' notice for the NHRA 4-Wide Carolina Nationals, September 18-21, zMax Dragway in Concord, NC.
This race will be the second of three consecutive weekends of racing and the second of the six-race 2025 Countdown.
Please check the driver entries and post your picks before Pro qualifying starts so you will be eligible for all event bonus points.

The entry cutoff was at 4:00pm EDT (1:00pm PDT) yesterday.
As of this morning nhra.com currently shows the following entries:
14 Top Fuel
16 Funny Car
21 Pro Stock
17 Pro Stock Motorcycle

I suggest you double-check to make sure all of your driver picks are racing. There is a new name competing at this event. There have also been some no-shows at recent race events of the season. If your posted driver skips the event and you do not select a replacement prior to the start of eliminations, I will use your posted driver from the most recent completed event. Unfortunately, any replacement driver after the start of qualifying will not be eligible for any event bonus points.

The current weekend weather forecast shows:
* Friday currently shows sunny with a temperature of 89F at the start of Q1
* Saturday forecast is for sunny and a temp of 84F at the start of Q3
* Sunday weather forecast is for partly cloudy and temps in the low 70s at the start of eliminations going up to a high of 81F about 2:00pm

The current television schedule for the U.S. Nationals...
* Qualifying Show: 10:00-Noon EDT (7:00-9:00am PDT), Sunday, September 21 on FS1
* Final Eliminations: Noon-3:30pm EDT (9:00am-12:30pm PDT), Sunday, September 21 on FS1

Boy he went off, made the comment that NHRA has people making rules that have never driven a race car before and someone's going to get killed.
He'll probably get called on the carpet for his comment, but I bet they wait until he cools off some.

& he's 110% correct, don't doubt him 1 iota

I'm sure you've seen some of my rants about it, being unsafe
& I said the same thing 'it's going to get someone killed'

hope they, NHRA hold off on any punishments, points deduction or fines
'of a drivers opinion, that is reality'

That was a strange and crazy day of racing yesterday!
Somehow 'ocdart' (FABO) came out on top of our "Pick 'Em" game for the Reading NHRA Nationals with a total of 114.0 points. He picked the class winner in Pro Stock, his Pro Stock Motorcycle pick lost in the semi-final round of eliminations, and both his Top Fuel and Funny car picks lost in the second round of eliminations. He was also helped with ET bonus points in Pro Stock and speed bonus points in Pro Stock Motorcycle.
'TT5.9mag' (FABO) grabbed the runner-up spot with 107.0 points.
'alsant' was the top FBBO player with 101.5 points.
Way to go!
