Anybody run 295/50/15's on the back of '71-'74 Charger? Was planning to use 10 inch rim with backspacing of 4.5 inches. Any experience with this tire/rim/backspacing would be appreciated.

There was an old issue of one of the Mopar mags years ago where they did a complete suspension upgrade on a 71-74 Charger and they ran 295/50/15 on the rear and 265/50/15 on the front. Mopar muscle or high performance Mopar can't remember which. I am pretty sure they ran 8" on the front but don't remember the width on the rear.
i always ran 275/60/15 on 8" with 4.5 backspace on mine.

My bad, the Magnum 500 wheel I'm interested in is 15 x10 with either 5 or 5.5 inch backspacing.
Needs more tire.... To narrow & to short...

I have... and I swapped them out after a year. The wheel well on the 73 Charger is huge. The short 295/50/15 only looks good if you you lower the car such that the top of the tire is pretty close to the lip of the wheel opening. A taller tire looks better on these cars.
