340 oil pan

I have a 1972 340 engine that I'm in the process of rebuilding and the oil pan is the worse for wear. Does anyone know if the oil pan off a 318 is the same? I think they would be, just want to be sure. I can probably get one fairly reasonable.

Yes, as long as it has the same sump location. Some have a one quart lower capacity.

Been years since working with small blocks but iirc, the 340 pan has a baffle and the teen pan doesn't....

I used my 318 oil pan on my 340. Also used the pick up from the 318. But I didn’t put it in so not sure about the baffle.
