Agree with everything that's been said but will also add that it's no fun in a standard because all you get done doing is shifting. Since I have a massive overdrive ratio I ran 4:30s for 1 summer where I could cruise 70 mph @ 1,900 rpm but still didn't like them. Shifting every 50 ft doesn't equal fast although it would blow the tires off threw the first 3 gears, 3:55s are my favorite.[/QUO
I have a shot at a 4:10 gear for my 1969 Road Runner, 440 (not A12). 4 Speed car. it's a 3:23 rear end which just gives no snap to the car at all. I worry 4:10 is just way too much for the 440. Anyone running this in their car, and are you happy with it?
I run 3.55's in my 68 RR 440/4-speed and seems to be a good all around gear, burn lots of rubber when I want to and also cruise within reason.
