I,have had this 72 road runner for ten years put a lot of work in it. having trouble tuning engine. Idols ok but running rich and missing a little bit. 440 engine a833 trans 355 suregrip 26" tall tires when you stand on it will go.235 series 284/484 cam holley 750 mech secondires msd ignition no vacuum cannister. timing is set at 15 btdc 1 light spring and 1 heavier spring in dist.cast iorn manifolds most everting new i believe tuning is the problem. pistons .027 in the hole 346 heads. what to do.
 
Welcome. You might want to post in the engine forum. Have you tried different jets in the carb?
 
welcome to FBBO, try posting in a different section, you will get, plenty of help probably... try the general discussion section 1st, maybe then general tech or the engine trans forum if you can't get an answer... could be not enough ignition timing/advance or wrong air gap on the distributor, bad or fouled plugs, wires arching etc., numerous thing possible, maybe even the cap, maybe the carb, maybe fuel supply etc... Remember always, the more information you supply, the better we can all help you, also try to give as many descriptions of the symptoms as possible, it's hard to diagnose tuning/jetting/timing issues over the computer {if that's even the problem} with out lots of information... photos & videos don't hurt either... good luck, have fun
