Got the engine given to me with a car I just purchased. Would like to break down the serial #s on the parts to I’d what’s all there.

Pistons... Probably stock,
Crank? Tap it with a wrench if it rings its probably forged, If it thuds its probably a cast crank.

The block has raised water jackets also look for thick webbing for oil passages. Industrial or motor home block.

Thats forged for sure! I'd like to see the damper tho. I think Bearman's right too, came out of some sort of truck intended for cold weather. I'd say strong chance all those parts belong together (from the factory).

Look carefully at the counterweights on the crank, you may be able to see a seven digit number stamped in to outside edge of the weights. A cast crank, which this is not, would have numbers cast-in, along with other info, such as date code identifiers, etc. and you would easily be able to tell that is was cast that way, and there will always be some identifiers if cast. There are no markings other than stamps, like with a hammer and chisel on a forged unit (if any at all).

Corporate blue would make it an industrial engine wouldn't it? I actually can't remember the color My RV engine was.. Or was that typical for the era?

Unknown to me all I can say that my block looks like that one you have and it was blue also. But didn't have a block heater in it. But I can say that compared to other blocks the water jackets are bigger and oil web bigger also. These are the only things I have found different between blocks. Also finding rv blocks seem easier to find and cheaper. Not to mention that most rv blocks are low mileage as they were traded in early and then set at someone's house until they just got rid of it.

Mopar went back to corporate blue in 72.

Looks like a 73 RV engine with a forged crank. The dampener should be for the internally balanced crank if correct. 346 heads are usually 88cc. 79.5cc is a blueprinted number I believe. Cast cranks usually have sharp edges on the counterbalances where forged are more round from the forging process.
It's a nice and rare surprise to find a steel crank in a engine after '72. Our 75 RV engine had a cast crank.

Great thanks for all the info. I figured it was forged by my own research too. I live in Canada and the engine came from up North so that’s why there is a block heater in it.

Good news on the Satellite. I got it fired up and the engine is good. Turns out the oil pressure sending unit had a plastic line running to the gauge and it burned through near the firewall, so the previous owner thought the engine had lost oil pressure and was done for. Great surprise that’s it’s fine. Just needs a good tune.
Not sure what to do with the 440 yet. I have a original 4spd bell housing for it as well. not sure what it would all be worth to someone.
