Well I just ordered my polished coated TTI headers tonight $791.91 shipped! Kinda made my butt pucker but I sold over 1g worth of Mopar parts on Ebay that I would never use again so it justified itself plus I want to run P/S on the 69 Daytona clone, plus it will help out with the Comp 268 camshaft, I have my Milodon pan and pickup tube, and I picked up the 45 degree adapter from my Dodge dealer last week and I am still waiting on my TTI engine mounts, received my 05 Ram foot accelerator pedal last week ($75.00 brand new). Hopefully get my PCM and harness back from Hotwireauto next week, I did have a question for anybody that might know I am running the truck intake and since I have deleted the EGR function does anyone have a good idea to plug the hole in the side of the plastic intake where the EGR tube just pushes in?? I was going to run all four 02 sensors as well does anyone run small cats in between the upstreams and downstreams? I was thinking about running some small 3" dia. cats weld them in right behind the collectors as I am going to run a X pipe straight out the side in front of each rear wheel (just like the Nascar Daytonas did) I was going to run it with NO mufflers 3" exhaust, If I did have to run mufflers (if it was extremely too loud) I was going to run thrush glasspacks, I have heard several 5.7 Hemis with NO mufflers and they don't sound too loud to me so we will see! I still have a ways to go on the body my Stinger Daytona kit should be in sometime this week, got the full quarters to install along with the trunk, driver rail, Vega plug, have the trunklid closeout panel coming, I still need to get it back on the rotiserre and install the US cartool subframe connectors. Sorry for the rambling I am just excited to get this thing started and hear that Hemi!!!

You can make a plug from aluminum and put an o ring groove in it and it will seal. I did that for the lx manifold I have and no leaks.

And if you don't want to make a egr block off ShopHemi.com has a EGR block off kit part #BT-5007.
But making your own shi$ is what a man does!:car flipper:

The dealer should be able to supply the plug. The 03 engines didn't run egr and my intake has a plug in it.

On the exhaust note, I hope you like it loud with no mufflers, my 04 ram has the stock manifolds, stock converters, magnaflow muffler and I just added a resonator to quiet it down a bit.

KB I will have to call the Dodge dealer today and ask on the plug good to know,
And yes I like hearing the engine in vehicles as long as it does not drone, but this car will have plenty of sound deading mat installed before interior goes in!!! I have owned several 94-01 Dodge Rams that had nothing but a cat and back duals no muffs and it was not outrageously loud.

Yeah part of it is in the system but I had a crazy drone at 1800-2000 rpm. That may not happen with your car/system though.

Well I just got my 05 5.7 Hemi wiring harness and PCM back from Hotwireauto today and man although it was pricey this harness is unbelivable VERY, VERY NICE!!! all connectors are labeled, nice fusebox and all relays! I will post pics tomorrow!!!:headbang:

So any pictures then? always wanted to do a daytona but I'll never be able to afford one.

I don't have any pics of the harness let me post a couple of the bodywork done so far, Just made steel Z brackets off the fiberglass ones that came with the kit I am going to modify the 69 AMD fenders to work (add some metal here and remove some there! lol)

All in all when all is said and done I should have no more than $25,000 in the car (maybe less than that)

All said and done will be very cool. But one hell of an exercise in patients awaits!

Love the shop, wish I had one to work in! Every try to restore a Coronet out of a 1 car garage? Its like working on the refrigerator with it still in its box.

Yeah my shop is a 40x64 14' ceilings, (3) 12x12 doors, I run a small Towing & Auto repair service and it's right behind the house 10 steps and I am at work!!! lol

Sounds like a good gig. I work 7-4 for an engineering firm pretty much lookinig at pipe drawings and procedures all day....I think I'd rather turn wrenches.

Wanna move your shop to NW Indiana...then we could be partners :violent-smiley-100:

It's a Stinger kit it was $2500 for the complete kit shipped (Wing,Nosecone, headlight buckets, fender scoops, front spoiler, Z braces, headlight pivots, headlight doors, grille trim, wing washers, valance panel, latch tray) I am using a 78 Vega hatch for the rear window plug (picked the whole hatch up glass, trim and all for $150) I have a steel decklid closeout panel coming from Gene Gregory in Alhambra, IL (builds a LOT of nice steel Daytona/Superbird parts) I went ahead and made the steel Z braces off the ones that came in the kit because the glass ones were flimsy!
And I had been trying to find 70 fenders but I already had bought these 69 AMD ones when I was going to build a General Lee so I am going to modify these ones to work. I do have a 70 Charger hood coming so I can get the top and side of fender lined up perfect. Here is a couple pics of where I modified the lower fender tonight so the Daytona valance panel would bolt up, This car is going to be a serious driver with the 5.7 Hemi in it!! I want to take it on the Hot Rod power tour
and just drive the wheels off of it and hear little kids say "What is that!!!!"

You know the old saying, The grass isn't always greener..... :toothy9:
Yeah I know but sometimes its nice to look out the window at the neighbors lawn.

Kit looks like it lines up well but some sheet metal work to do...have fun!
