Hey guy's should a slant 6 with a 904 have enough power to break the wheels free in a 75 Duster with an 8 1/4 sure grip ..Sorry don't know what gear. The motor is a fresh full rebuild with a mild cam.

If it has 8:1 compression and the worlds smallest 1bbl carb......no

I beg to differ, i just roasted the tires on my 66 belvy half way through 2nd. It has the slant and 3 speed on the tree.

Just curious: which body style? I have a '67 Belvedere I 2-door sedan, /6 and 3-on-the-tree. (Or, as the saying goes, "crooked six, straight stick")

LOL K thank's guy's....All his car will do is pre load and sit still, any suggestions?..Distributor?
I'll try to get more info on his build tonight.

Try adding a 2bbl or a really small 4bbl.

Truth be known I could do burnouts in the two 4 banger Porsches I used to own

My friend e-mailed me some more info......
It's an Isky 256 cam .425 lift. It has a Carter BBD 2BBL made for the slant so It's not over carbed. the rear is an 8.25 sure grip with 3.23 gears in it. I have a holley 390 cfm 4bbl and offy 4bbl intake for it that lots of other guys run that I could put on. I think it's maybe not jetted rights since its a rebuild or maybe the timing is off a bit. Remember all the problems I had degreeing the cam. I had to move the timing chain over one tooth to get all the cam specs to match. Maybe the isky cam was ground wrong???
