650 or 800 Edelbrock AVS?

You guys know the AVS is vacuum controlled secondaries right? The 650 AVS is a good choice for a 318, maybe okay for a 340 or a 360 with a stockish camshaft.

Yes, and 383 magnums came with the same carb for years. A low compression 400 really doesn't need any more than that.
 
We've run 12.90's on 650 AFB. So no issue being to small. The new 800 AVS are very good from what I've seen. That being said I'd use the TQ. They are great misunderstood carb.
