I did an internet search for the heater control valve and turned up a site that advertised the part, but I forgot you can not "advertise" a business so the post has been blocked. I do apologize deeply. You can find the valve with the search. Good luck.
thanks for the link. i had found that in my search late last night...there is a couple on ebay also, hopefully i can figure out which one i have today and get one on order.
what is the purpose in life for this valve? what is it for? if this is bad does this have anything to do with AC not working? or totally seperate?
It does have something to do with the AC. Assuming your AC system is in good working order and fully charged. The valve closes off water to the heater core when you are running the AC to make keep the air blowing out of the the vents cool. When you are running the heater, the AC compressor shuts off and the valve is open allowing water to flow through the heater core.
