68 Charger Console Bulbs

Had to replace the console bulbs as the one was burnt out. The both had GE 90, 2 pin bulbs.

Went to the local auto store to see what l could find. Best we could find was a 1004 B2. They work but wondering what if l have the right bulbs in them.

The 90 looks like it's still readily available. Were they out of stock at the time?

They had a limited supply but l figured they might not be made any more, or now some other number.

I wouldn't use the 1004. It is a 13W bulb and the 90 is a 7W bulb. Too much heat could melt a lens or socket.

I would look for a LED equivalent. Much brighter and less heat.

Went over and picked up the correct bulbs this am. Appreciate the help guys.
