68 Charger quarter panels

About ready for Memorial day car show. Blasted with 4000 psi hot water unit, then using an acetylene turbo torch and a margin trowel gets the heavy undercoating off fairly quick. Then hot water blast one more time.

Will replace the torsion bar crossmember, the rest of the subframe parts just need some patch work.

2 post lift works well to unload the weight from the torsion crossmember area.

The fix for torsion crossmember- 2”x .120 tube tied in with subframe connector. It will be boxed in and connected to the floors with sheet metal.

Long week of blasting, cup brush, sanding, blowing out all the sand etc- felt good today putting a coat of epoxy on all the bare stuff

Had to take a week off to do a paying job but back on it. The subframe repair turned out OK I think, much stiffer than it was originally.

Found this frame rail piece locally, going to use it to replace the aft end on the Charger

I discovered that scaffolding wheels fit into 1 5/8 unistrut snugly so used that to fab up a cart. Patched up the inner wheel wells and attached the outers with some clecos before flipping it over.

The big scaffold wheels work great, easy to roll it around now.
