Gonna be a long haul but will be worth it. Still need to find top well molding, I have the transition moldings but haven't found the rest yet.

looks like you got some fun work ahead of you. When you're done with it, you'll be top down and havin' a blast with it.

X2 Looks like a great project! Love the rag-tops and they are not easy to grab a hold of! Have fun!!!

Nice. Can I get the blueprints for the body cart? I'm getting close to doing the bodywork on my convertible.

Body cart

Sorry, no blueprints for the body cart, just something the guys in the shop whipped up. I'll attach more pics so you can hopefully get an idea of the support points used and build your own.

Great choice of cars! :)

I track '69 Convertibles. I have 71 WP27 cars on file and 74 WS27 cars. I'd be interested in learning more about yours if you do not mind sharing.

Looks like this one was built in the last half of the production year. (Jan-May)

Hey 69coronetrt. Here are some pics of a car that is for sale and i might purchase. A guy emailed me out of the blue and sad he has a 4speed coronet 500 vert that he has owned since 1970. Not may options. F8 green black interior black top, bench seat
all no# matching. Here are some pics... WP27H9G.

I'd love to know more about both cars if possible.

IF the four speed car still has good Coronet specific pieces like sheet metal (fenders, doors, trunk lid) and all of the convertible specific items are there, especially the transition pieces, it could be a good buy just for the parts and to see how things go together.

that F-8, H code, D 21, rag looks like one that was sold out of minn. a couple years ago! cool car and a unusual find for sure.

Cool stuff here, Its good to see these cars being saved... Great pictures to help one another, i would love to hear more about the car you may get 69rag500! I hope it all works out for you.. Could be a great project...

Good looking project and some serious work going on....good luck on the resto and please keep the pics flowing. :headbang:

Ron 73 - How i can across this car is that i am running an ad on craigslist in the town my ragtop was ordered.
I was trying to see if someone had info on my car or info from an original owner.
A guy emails me and say he just happen to come across my ad and says he has a 69 coronet 500 383 4 speed convertible like mine and liked that i saved my car. He stated that he has owned his since may 1970. Bought it from a friend and has had it ever since. He has no time or money to restore the car and would like it saved so he asked if i was interested. The car was from Wisconsin originally.

Sounds like a good deal, i guess it always depends on how much time and work, THEN money they want to put into one... Ive gone the cheapest way and im doing the exspencive way this time, either or the other way, Its all good and fun, ENJOY it all! :) :) :)
